Siebert Cisneros Shank’s unwavering commitment to municipal finance has allowed our firm to focus our sales and trading resources on municipal debt in the primary and secondary markets. As a result, our proprietary tools are among the best in the industry. We use these techniques for educating and marketing to investors on every issue in which we participate and for structuring insights when serving as senior manager.
We spend a significant amount of time understanding the nuances of the municipal marketplace to better serve our municipal clients. Part of this effort includes monitoring and tracking municipal market developments on a daily basis. The information gathered is distributed by our sales team, both internally and externally, on a daily basis to facilitate a comprehensive marketing effort across the municipal space and to develop the most cost-effective borrowing strategy for our clients.
Our market tracking and monitoring tools include “Every .01 Counts”, Coupon Gap Tracker Analysis, Market Cash Analysis, Bond Redemption Analytics and sector-specific pricing matrices. We use these tools to provide comparable pricing levels to price our issuers’ bonds based on current and historical market environments. These comparables, as well as the other information gathered, including how the bonds trade in the secondary market after pricing, allow us to evaluate the success of each financing we senior manage as we aim to achieve equal or better levels than recent pricing trends in the market.
In addition to the in-depth municipal finance analyses that Siebert Cisneros Shank provides our public finance clients, the firm also produces several market analysis pieces for our corporate clients on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
The Morning Note, our daily market analysis, recaps the prior day’s domestic and overseas equity markets, lists the economic data due out and includes news covering major sectors. This report is sent out early morning and is very PDA friendly.
Our Transaction Cost and Pricing Analysis recaps investment grade corporate bond transactions that have priced. It is sent out a couple of times per week depending on deal flow and summarizes the deal pricing from announcement, guidance, up sizing, pricing, order book when available and new issue concessions.
An Individual Stock Analysis is sent out monthly to our corporate clients and recaps their stocks’ trading during the previous month including trading patterns, monthly high/low, monthly volume weighted average and several other statistics. This report is customizable to fit the specific needs of an individual client.
